*pads in and mumbles*Spottedleaf.............can you looks at this wound on my neck.i think it might be infected.

*Smiles and nods* Yes. *Walks up to you to look at it*

*sighs and you see a big infected cut on my neck**

Hmm. *Pads away and then comes back with marigold leaves* These should help. *Chews it into paste and then spits them out on the infected wound*

*winces but holds still*thanks.

*stands outside the den,wondering if she should go in while her mentor is working*

*pads in slowly,and you hear a small voice inside your head, 'Are you Spottedfeather?'*

*Nods* Yes, I am.

*smiles,and the voice says 'I guess your my mentor then'* *seems really happy that she got to be a medicine cat,because she had always wanted to be one* (and because she didn't really have another choice)
